Day 1: Cairo

Upon arriving at the Cairo airport, we will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.

Cairo, Egypt's sprawling capital, is set on the Nile River. Nearby, Giza is site of the iconic pyramids and Great Sphinx, dating to the 26th century B.C.E. In Gezira Island's leafy Zamalek district, 187m Cairo Tower affords panoramic city views.

Day 2: Cairo

Full day visit where we explore the famous Pyramids of Cheops, Kefren and Micerinos (tickets to go inside the pyramids are not included), and also the impressive Sphinx, which is sculpted from rock. Visit to the Egyptian Museum with its ancient art and where the treasure of the Lost Tomb of Tutankhamen is kept. Lunch includedCitadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque. We will take a walk through the Coptic neighborhood where we visit the Hanging Church built above a Roman fortress.

  • The Pyramid of Khafre is the second largest of the Giza Pyramids. It is estimated to have been built around 2570 BC. It was first fully explored in 1837 AD by John Perring.

Day 3: Cairo - El Wasta - Faiyum - El Menia (233 km)

We depart Cairo early to explore Egypt's hidden gems: the stepped Pyramid of Meidum (2600 BC), Egypt's first pyramid attempt; the lush Faiyum Oasis fed by Lake Qarun, stopping at pottery village Tunis for lunch; Wadi Rayyan's salt lakes and waterfalls; and finally Wadi Al-Hitan (Whale Valley) UNESCO site with its remarkable whale fossils and climate change exhibits. This journey reveals pyramids, oasis, desert lakes and prehistoric wonders in one extraordinary day.

El Wasta is a small city in Beni Suef Governorate, Egypt, located along the Nile River roughly 90 km south of Cairo. Historically, it served as a strategic stop on the Nile trade route. Today, it’s primarily an agricultural and transportation hub, with railway connections to major Egyptian cities.

  • An early Egyptian pyramid near Beni Suef, attributed to Pharaoh Sneferu. Initially built as a step pyramid, it was later modified into a true pyramid but collapsed in antiquity, leaving its core standing as a tower-like structure.

A city in Middle Egypt. Located 100 kilometres (62 miles) southwest of Cairo, in the Faiyum Oasis. It is one of Egypt's oldest cities due to its strategic location.

  • The small village of Tunis is located in the oasis of Fayoum , on the way to Wadi Rayan. Located on a hill facing a large salt water lake, the village overlooks a stunning view of the edge of the desert on the other side of the lake. It is one of the most beautiful places in Egypt.

  • A paleontological site in the Faiyum Governorate of Egypt, some 150 km southwest of Cairo.It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2005 for its hundreds of fossils of some of the earliest forms of whale, the archaeoceti.

  • A unique nature protectorate in Faiyum Governorate, Egypt. The valley of Wadi El-Rayan is an area of 1759km2, 113km2 of which are the dominating water body of the Wadi El Rayan lakes.

Day 4: El Menia - Asyut (139 km)

Departing Minya, we first visit Zawiyyet Sultan's striking adobe mausoleums in an ancient necropolis. Next, Beni Hassan reveals 4,000-year-old cliffside tombs with vibrant daily-life scenes (lunch included). En route along the Nile, the rarely visited Tombs of Mir (Old/Middle Kingdom) offer serene historical immersion. At Deir el-Muharraq, a Coptic monastery marks where Mary and Jesus allegedly sheltered, housing what's considered the world’s oldest church. The day ends in Assiut, a provincial capital (dinner included).

A historic Nile-side city in Middle Egypt, dubbed the "Bride of Upper Egypt" for its cultural heritage. Key gateway to Pharaonic tombs (Beni Hassan), the unfinished Northern Pyramid of Zawyet el-Maiyitin, and early Christian sites. Known for its limestone cliffs, Coptic monasteries, and 19th-century downtown architecture.

  • Beni Hasan is an ancient Egyptian cemetery located on the east bank of the Nile. Renowned for its rock-cut tombs from the Middle Kingdom, it offers some of the best-preserved examples of daily life and military scenes from this period.

  • A historic necropolis near Minya, Egypt, blending Pharaonic and Islamic heritage. Known for its atmospheric adobe mausoleums with distinctive vaulted roofs, the site includes a small Pharaonic cemetery (Old Kingdom) and a sprawling Muslim burial complex. The labyrinthine architecture and desert silence create an otherworldly ambiance.

Asyut is a historic city in Upper Egypt, located on the west bank of the Nile, approximately 375 km south of Cairo. Serving as the capital of Asyut Governorate, it has been a significant cultural, religious, and trade hub since ancient times.

  • Tombs of Mir is an ancient burial site near Al-Qusiya, about 40 km northwest of Asyut in Middle Egypt. These Old and Middle Kingdom tombs (c. 2300–2000 BCE) belong to provincial governors and officials, featuring vivid wall reliefs of daily life, industries, and religious rituals.

  • Deir el-Muharraq is one of Egypt’s most revered Coptic pilgrimage sites. Tradition holds that the Holy Family (Jesus, Mary, and Joseph) took refuge here for six months in a cave during their flight from King Herod. The monastery’s Church of the Virgin Mary is believed to be the oldest continuously used Christian church in the world, dating back to the 1st century AD.

Day 5: Asyut - Sohag - Abydos - Luxor (23152 km)

We leave Assiut for Sohag, we are in one of the main Coptic areas of Egypt. We visit the White Monastery, built in the fourth century (several times destroyed) and powerfully walled, in its construction stone was used that came from pharaonic temples and some blocks still show ancient Gods and hieroglyphics, at the time housed the largest library in Egypt. After that we visit the Red Monastery, one of the most impressive Christian buildings in Egypt, its ancient chapel of the fourth century, have most of its surface covered with frescoes (restored) that give us an idea of what religious buildings were like at the end of antiquity. We continue our route to Abydos, lunch included, the most important place of worship of Osiris -God of the dead-, was a place of pilgrimage and necropolis for over 4500 years (from years 4000 BC to 600 AD), there are still many tombs unexcavated. The impressive temple of Seti stands out, one of the most complete and beautiful in Egypt. Continuation to Luxor. Arrival at the end of the day.

A historic city in Upper Egypt, located on the west bank of the Nile. Known as a major center of Coptic Christianity, it is home to two of Egypt’s most significant early Christian monasteries and rich Pharaonic heritage.

  • A 4th-century Coptic fortress-monastery near Sohag, built with recycled pharaonic stones (some bearing hieroglyphs). Founded by St. Shenouda, it once housed Egypt's largest library. Notable for its massive limestone architecture and active Church of St. Shenouda. A key site of early Christian monasticism.

  • A 4th-century Coptic masterpiece near Sohag, famed for its fully frescoed chapel - one of Egypt’s finest Byzantine-era artworks. The vibrant biblical murals (recently restored) cover walls, columns, and domes. Still an active monastery, it showcases early Christian architecture with pharaonic stone reuse.

As one of the oldest cities in Egypt, Abydos is full of fascinating archeological and historic sites, especially the massive Temple of Seti I. At its height, Abydos was an important center of cult worship.

  • Also known as the Great Temple of Abydos, this ancient Egyptian archaeological site is almost completely intact, providing an intriguing locale to picture yourself in the old world!

Day 6: Luxor

Early in the morning, from our hotel we will take a private boat to cross the Nile River, with its peace and impressive views early in the morning, we go to the west bank. We visited the "Valley of the Artisans" Deir el-Medina, a little-visited place, here they lived and are the tombs of great builders and craftsmen who built and decorated the royal tombs of ancient Egypt. We will visit three tombs, their paintings show scenes of daily life at that time. After that, we visit the fantastic temple of Medinet Habu, the temple of Ramses II, large and magnificently preserved, its scenes of wars will surprise us. We stopped in front of the Colossi of the Memnon, two impressive statues of Amenhotep II. We will visit the VALLEY OF THE QUEENS where the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari) is located, considered the first woman to occupy the position of pharaoh. We also visit the famous VALLEY OF THE KINGS where the tombs of the main pharaohs are hidden. Among these tombs, composed of several rooms and corridors leading to the corresponding burial chambers (we include, in addition to the general admission, a ride in an electric cart to access the enclosure and tomb of Ramses -which requires additional entry-). Return to the east bank of Luxor. Free time for lunch.
In the afternoon we visit KARNAK, it housed the most important religious complex in Ancient Egypt, highlighting the immense temple of Amun-Ra, our guide will take us to the little-crowded temple of Khinsu. We will also visit the LUXOR MUSEUM, which shows us an impressive collection of objects and mummies found in this area. After dark we include the entrance to the LUXOR TEMPLE, its lighting makes it magical at this time. Time to walk in the commercial area (souk) near the temple.

Luxor is a city on the east bank of the Nile River in Egypt. It's on the site of ancient Thebes, the pharaohs' capital at the height of their power, during the 16th-11th centuries B.C.E.

  • This vast complex of ruined temples was once the great Egyptian city of Thebes. It is a vast, open-air museum where visitors can see a cross-section into many eras of ancient Egyptian culture.

  • The Luxor Museum is located in the modern day city that was known as Thebes in the time of the ancient Egyptians. It is full of old artifacts that provide a cross section for this magnificent civilization.

  • This large temple complex was the grand monument in ancient Thebes. Constructed around 1400 BCE, various sections were built under the rule of the famous pharaohs Tutankhamen and Ramesses II.

  • This valley is named because during a period of about 500 years, several Egyptian pharaohs were buried here. It is one of the most significant Egyptian archaeological sites.

  • It is a site in Egypt, where the wives of pharaohs were buried in ancient times. It was known then as Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning "the place of beauty".

  • These two massive stone statues near Luxor have stood for nearly 3,400 years, marking the entrance to the ancient Theban necropolis. Both statues depict the pharaoh Amenhotep III and are made of quartzite sandstone.

Day 7: Luxor - Esna - Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan (246 km)

After breakfast we start our beautiful road stage following the Nile valley. We visit Esna, its great temple is one of the few Egyptian temples that still retains its original roof, providing a unique view of the ancient architecture and original colors. Afterwards, we continue to  Edfu and visit the Temple of Horus (God represented by a Falcon), which in the past was partially covered by lime during the periodic flooding of the river Nile. We continue to  Kom Ombo, after lunch (included) we visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, the only temple dedicated to two gods, Sobek and Haroesis, where we find a Nilometer (former system for measuring the level of the Nile River) and a mummified crocodile. We will also visit the impressive museum of Crocodiles (several of them mummified). We continue our route to Aswan, arriving at the end of the afternoon. Overnight at our excellent hotel.

This Egyptian city is located on the West Bank of the Nile River, 55 km south of Luxor. The modern city is built up around ancient ruins.

  • This remarkably preserved Ptolemaic temple, buried for centuries under Nile silt, astounds visitors with its intact, vibrantly painted hypostyle hall and rare zodiac ceiling carvings. Accessed via a sunken entrance, it offers an immersive glimpse into Egypt's Greco-Roman era.

This city sits on the West Bank of the Nile River in Egypt, between Esna and Aswan. It is notable for the massive Temple of Horus and the remains of ancient pyramids.

  • An ancient Egyptian temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus, was built in the Ptolemaic period between 237 and 57 BC. It's located on the west bank of the Nile in Edfu, Upper Egypt and is one of the best preserved shrines in Egypt.

It is an agricultural town in Egypt famous for the Temple of Kom Ombo.

  • The Temple of Kom Ombo is unique due to its double design. This meant that there were courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two sets of gods. The southern half of the temple was dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. The northern part of the temple was dedicated to the falcon god Haroeris ("Horus the Elder"), along "with Tasenetnofret or Panebtawy (Lord of the Two Lands)."

  • The Crocodile Museum is a small museum, which displays some mummified crocodile specimens and other cultural relics related to crocodiles and mummies, as well as crocodiles still in embryo, small crocodiles and large crocodiles. There are also 20 paintings and statues belonging to crocodile worship.

Day 8: Aswan

Full day in Aswan, including a visit to the city and the Red Granite Quarry, where the famous Unfinished Obelisk is located. We´ll observe the ingenious procedure used by the ancient Egyptians for the extraction of granite blocks. We will visit the beautifulTemple of Philae dedicated to the goddess Isis and located on a small island that is only accessible by boat. After that, we´ll enjoy a felucca ride along the river, typical fishing boats. By felucca we will go to the picturesque Nubian Village, with its colorfully painted houses, its tourist and commercial life, lunch included. In the afternoon (including arrival on felucca and a stretch of about 15 minutes of camel ride!) we will visit the Monastery of Saint Simeon, it was a large monastery in Roman times, then it was transformed into a caravanserail. We also pass by the modern Coptic church and the mausoleum of the Aga Khan (not visited). Afterwards, free time in our excellent hotel, where you can enjoy its large swimming pool and its facilities.

Aswan is a city in the south of Egypt, and is the capital of the Aswan Governorate.Aswan is a busy market and tourist centre located just north of the Aswan Dam on the east bank of the Nile at the first cataract.

  • This ancient obelisk is the largest known in the world, weighing in at around 1,200 tons, but it was buried under bedrock for many years due to its incompletion. It was most likely built during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut.

  • This temple was built on the island of Philae, which sits downstream of the Aswan Dam, in the 4th century BC. The temple has been noted for its architectural prowess.
