Day 1: Stockholm

After gathering in Stockholm, we will transfer to hotel and then have free time. In the afternoon, you’ll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.

Day 2: Stockholm

Today we'll embark on a panoramic tour of this beautiful capital city, built on 14 interconnected islands. We'll visit Gamla Stan, also known as the "the city between bridges", the lively old quarter filled with monumental buildings such as the Nobel Prize Museum, located right beside the main square of Stortorget which honors Nobel Prize winners, the Cathedral, and the Royal Palace. Whenever possible, we'll enjoy the stunning views from the Fjallgatan viewpoint. Afterwards, you'll have leisure time to explore. We recommend visiting the museums and parks. Optionally, you can visit the City Hall and the Vasa Museum.

Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and the most populous city in the Nordic countries. It is the only capital in the world with a national urban park.

  • Gamla Stan is both the old town of Stockholm and the island on which it is located. It dates back to the 13th century and is filled with cobbled streets, medieval alleyways, and old buildings.

  • The Fjallgatan is located on the Stigberget, a cliff on the north side of the island Sodermalm in the centre of Stockholm. The street is part of a historical district and offers a fantastic view of large parts of Stockholm's city centre.

  • We will visit the interior of Stockholm City Hall. We will have the chance to visit the rooms where the plenary sessions are held, including the room where they hold the banquet and the ballroom dance after the Nobel prize ceremony. Afterwards, we will visit one of the warships which were retrieved after being 333 years dwelling at the sea bottom and which reminds us of the power the Swedish Empire once had.

  • One of Stockholm's biggest tourist draws, the city hall is not just a governmental building, but also the home of the Nobel Prize banquet and a National Romantic architectural landmark. It sits demurely on the banks of the bay Riddarfjarden.

  • This maritime museum in Stockholm, on the island of Djurgarden, is named after the 17th century ship that is on display here. On her maiden voyage in 1628, the Vasa sank, but the pieces of the ship were salvaged.

Day 3: Stockholm ferry to Finland (264 km)

Enjoy a free day in Stockholm. In the evening, we'll board a modern ferry for an overnight journey to Finland. Accommodation will be in double en-suite cabins.

Day 4: Turku - Naantali - Helsinki (176 km)

As we arrive in Finland, we recommend heading to the ship's deck for sunrise to enjoy the mesmerizing landscapes as we sail past the Åland Islands, a collection of hundreds of forested islands. After disembarking the ferry, you’ll have time to explore Turku, a city with a b Swedish influence. We’ll then continue our journey to the neighboring city of Naantali, a picturesque town with charming wooden houses by the sea. Our travels will take us to Helsinki, where we'll arrive around lunchtime. In the afternoon, you’ll have leisure time to explore the city, including its old market, Russian-influenced buildings, and beautiful churches.

Turku is a city in southwestern Finland, located at the mouth of the Aura River on the country's southwest coast. It is one of Finland's oldest cities, with a rich history dating back to the 13th century.

Naantali is a charming coastal town located about 15 km west of Turku in southwestern Finland. Known for its picturesque old town, luxury spa, and family-friendly attractions (especially Moomin World), Naantali is a popular destination for both tourists and locals.

Helsinki is the capital city and most populous municipality of Finland. Helsinki has one of the highest urban standards of living in the world. In 2011, the British magazine Monocle ranked Helsinki the world's most liveable city.

Day 5: Suomenlinna - Helsinki ferry to Estonia (83 km)

We'll embark on an included boat trip to the Suomenlinna Islands, six islands home to a magnificent fortress that once protected the city's entrance and is now a World Heritage Site. Take some time to explore, crossing the islands via pedestrian bridges. In the afternoon, we'll board a ferry to Estonia, a journey of about 2 hours and 30 minutes. As we depart from Helsinki, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding islands. In the evening, we'll arrive in Tallinn.

Suomenlinna is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed sea fortress located on a group of islands off the coast of Helsinki, Finland. Built in the 18th century, it is one of the largest maritime fortresses in the world and a popular tourist attraction.

Day 6: Tallinn

The capital of Estonia is a wonderful city that has preserved its medieval core intact. You´ll enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, its walls, churches, squares, and its medieval streets filled with tourist attractions. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 7: Tallinn - Parnu - Turaida - Sigulda - Salaspils - Riga (325 km)

We'll travel through forests and plains to reach Parnu, a popular seaside resort. From there, we'll continue to Latvia. You can enjoy an included lunch just before visiting the medieval Turaida Castle (admission included) surrounded by a large park with sculptures. Next, you can take a walk in Sigulda, a small and charming town situated amidst a beautiful landscape. Our journey will continue towards Riga, with a stop at the Salaspils Memorial, located at the site of a former concentration camp from the Nazi period. Since 1967, it has been one of the largest monumental complexes in Europe, commemorating the victims of this regime. We'll arrive in Riga in the evening.

This coastal Estonian city is one of the country's most popular summer resort areas, located on the shores of the Baltic Sea. Much of the classic medieval architecture is still prominent in this easy-going city.

Turaida is a historic gem in Gauja National Park, famed for its medieval Turaida Castle with panoramic valley views. Explore the museum reserve, folk village, and the legendary "Rose of Turaida" story. Surrounded by lush forests and the Gauja River, it’s perfect for hiking and history lovers.

Day 8: Riga

You'll enjoy an included panoramic tour of this capital, the most populous city in the Baltic states, where traces of the Soviet era are still visible. Riga is renowned not only for its cultural center but also for its medieval Historic Center and Art Nouveau architecture. The afternoon will be free for you to explore at your leisure.

Day 9: Riga - Rundale - Trakai - Vilnius (289 km)

We'll depart for Lithuania early in the morning. On our way there, we'll visit the Baroque Palace of Rundale, built by the same architect who designed the Saint Petersburg's Hermitage Museum. We'll cross over into Lithuania. This country has a b Catholic influence, highlighted by the impressive Hill of Crosses, with thousands of crosses of all sizes. Lunch will be included along our route. Afterwards, we'll visit Trakai, a gorgeous castle located on an island in a lake, close to Vilnius. We'll finish the day in Vilnius.

Note: Depending on the duration of daylight, the visit to Trakai may take place on Wednesday after exploring the city.

Rundale is a city located in Jegava, Latvia, which is best known for the baroque palace, Rundale Palace.

Trakai is a historic city and lake resort in Lithuania. It lies 28 kilometres (17 miles) west of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Because of its proximity to Vilnius, Trakai is a popular tourist destination.

Day 10: Vilnius

We'll begin with a panoramic tour of the city built on seven hills, often compared to Rome. You'll discover its Baroque churches, historic walls, grand castle, bustling commercial streets in the center, and 1,200 medieval houses. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore at your leisure.

Vilnius is classified as a Gamma global city according to GaWC studies, and is known for the architecture in its Old Town, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

Day 11: Vilnius - Druskininkai - Augustow - Warszawa (403 km)

We'll continue our journey to Poland. Our first stop will be Grutas Park, also known as "Stalin's World", which features 86 statues from the Soviet era. We'll then stop for lunch in the charming lakeside town of Augustow. Afterward, we’ll head to central Poland, arriving in Warsaw by the end of the day.

Located in southern Lithuania near the Belarus border, Druskininkai is a charming resort town known for its mineral springs, spas, and outdoor activities.

  • Grutas Park, often nicknamed "Stalin World", is an open-air museum in Druskininkai, Lithuania, showcasing Soviet-era statues and propaganda. Founded in 2001 by businessman Viliumas Malinauskas, it serves as both a tourist attraction and a controversial reminder of Lithuania’s Soviet occupation (1940–1991).

Located in northeastern Poland near the borders of Lithuania and Belarus, Augustow is a picturesque town known for its lakes, forests, and the Augustow Canal, a historic waterway system. It’s a paradise for nature lovers, kayakers, and cyclists.

Day 12: Warszawa

We'll start the day with a panoramic tour of Warsaw with a local guide. Home to nearly two million people, this political and economic hub of Poland boasts a blend of modern architecture and meticulously restored historic buildings. We'll stroll through the charming old town, featuring many old buildings, the Royal Palace, and cobbled streets, all restored after their destruction in World War II and now declared a World Heritage Site. We'll visit the Palace of Culture, a skyscraper gifted by the Soviet Union, reflect on the history of what was once the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe, and wander through Lazienki Park, home to the Chopin Monument.
You'll have free time in the afternoon to visit museums, such as the National Museum and the Warsaw Rising Museum, or to explore the lively city center filled with shops and activities.
Our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful and lasting memories.
