In the morning, we will drive to Naivasha Lake, enjoying lunch after we arrive. Then, we will board a boat to cruise on this beautiful, fresh-water lake. We will see the country club built on the side of the lake. In the water, there are many striped bass, African crucian carp and hippos. You can find this freshwater lake not far from Nairobi in the Great Rift Valley region of Kenya. The area is home to a large population of hippos and over 400 species of birds. Today, we will transfer to the Maasai Mara National Reserve after breakfast. This is one of the most famous animal reserves in the world. Covering 1,672 square kilometers, it contains plains, woodlands, rivers and more, as countless species of wild animals. This amazing nature reserve in southeastern Kenya is the northern end of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Each year, countless zebra, gazelle and wildebeest march north to the reserve during what is kown as the Great Migration. Today, we will travel to the spectacular landscape of Maasai Mara to track a wide variety of different animals. We will begin in the rainy mountainous areas and descend into the plains of the savannah. You will wrap up your Masai Mara adventure with a visit to the last primitive Masai tribal village - arguably the most iconic tribal group in all of Africa. While here you watch and can take part in song and dance performances, then later return to Nairobi for urban activities. Located near the border between Kenya and Tanzania, the park provides views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Centered around Lake Amboseli, the park also provides views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro and features an impressive array of wildlife.
